Album cover of Two.Thirteen.Seventy8

On Saturday night talented Raleigh creative, Ajani Kambón, let everyone know that "The Age of Aquarius" is more than just an astrological age! It is the name of his new album, which can also be called Two.Thirteen.Seventy8.

Pure Life Theater was bursting with talent and excitement as DJ Xcell opened the night up with the first track, "How To Paint" -- a poem by local wordsmith, Kamile Sabali. The poem centers spirituality, love, and energy.

Ajani then invited Essi to the stage to perform their songs "Over You" and "Open". Both songs written by Kamile and Ajani -- produced and mixed by DJ Xcell.

Local spoken word heavy hitter, Dasan Ahanu, was in the building to do his part in the ninth track on the album, "War".

Legendary poets Afro Betty and Main Man bless the stage, joining Ajani to perform their soulful collaboration "Still A Jungle".

Main Man held it down with his thought-provoking repertoire of poems, including his iconic poem "Lion King". Ajani closed the night out with thanks and dancing!

A big congratulations to Ajani for working to release this album and hosting this beautiful coming together of NC talents!

Ajani wrote a children's book, illustrated by Fuze, called The Day Mo Stood Up. Learn more about the book here: https://ajanikambon.com/store#!
